Himalayas literally mean as "abode of snow", is the dream destination of every traveler. People from all across the world loves to visit the mighty Himalayan mountain ranges which is having its inexpressible beauty. I wonder whether the scenery of these hills and the climate are to be surpassed, if qualified, by any of the beauty spots of the world."Himalayan mountains are home to several lofty peaks of world and vast glaciers which are the main source of numerous mountainous rivers of Indian sub-continent. These mountain ranges are also dotted with many exotic hill stations which are world famous for providing various kinds of holiday options like romantic holiday, adventure vacation, pilgrimage tour and many more.
Some of the world known hill stations which are nestled in the lap of Himalayan mountains are Srinagar, Leh-Ladakh, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Shimla, Dalhousie, Kullu-Manali, Mussourie, Nainital, Gangtok, Haridwar etc.
Many of these mentioned destinations are revered as pilgrimage sites by both people of Hindu and Buddhist communities whereas some are famous as best adventure sports destination in the entire world. Several adventure activities like river rafting, kayaking, trekking, mountaineering, hiking, mountain biking, etc are played on these hill resorts.
